Celebrating 20 Years

2007 is the 20th anniversary of the Allied Telesis Group

Our group was simultaneously established in 1987 in Japan and the US, and as a pioneer of total manufacturer of network devices, has exhibited leadership in the field and with subsidiaries worldwide has established itself as a global network company.

Two decades is a lifetime in the world of networking. While many manufacturers have come and gone during this time, we have continued to build standards-based, interoperable products that provide your network with stability, flexibility and availability you can count on.

1987

The world’s first micro transceiver (10T).

12 port 10T Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP) unmanaged hub.

1994

First in a long line of fiber Network Interface Cards (NICs) from Allied Telesis. 16-bit ISA bus with 10FL and 10T interfaces.

1995

3600 Series

The world’s first truly stackable managed hub, with fiber, UTP and coax modules.

1996

Blue Lady Marketing Campaign

Allied Telesis launched its Blue Lady marketing campaign in the US and EMEA - 'Get used to the unfamiliar'.

1997

An integrated switch/hub modular system with both Fast Ethernet and ATM uplinks.
